Kim Carpenter, our founder, is a global speaker, trainer, executive coach and organizational change facilitator who has served hundreds of clients, from Fortune 500s to start-ups.
She began her career as a New York City Ad Agency executive during the dot-com boom, where she led some of the first digital initiatives for clients such as Mercedes, Blue-Cross Blue-Shield, Goldman Sachs and Johnson&Johnson.
Kim’s corporate career armed her with experience as a leader, senior manager, trainer, and IT engagement manager. Her pivot point happened when she was criticized for putting too much effort into coaching her team and that she should just “fire them.” From that point she was determined to create more people-centric work cultures that honored the human, knowing that’s what would boost the bottom line.
Kim went on to start her own coaching practice, and spent over two decades training in Coaching, Conversational Intelligence, NLP, Advanced Communication Skills, Change Management, Business Turnarounds, and Entrepreneurship to form the curriculum for People at the Center.
She is a member of the International Coach Federation and is a graduate of Coach U's Advanced Coach Training Program. Kim is also the founder of World Changing Women®, a support ecosystem women on the cutting edge of business evolution.
When she’s not working with clients, Kim is always looking for a mountain to climb, a craft project to obsess over, or a way to give back through her philanthropic partnerships with B1G1.org. She lives in Austin, Texas with her family and Cosmos the wondercat who loves to make cameo appearances during Zoom meetings.
